
Hot Flushes/Night Sweats
Hot flushes and night sweats are a very common symptom for menopausal women and can start years before menopause itself. They are primarily associated with a reduction in oestrogen levels as the temperature-regulating hormones in the brain and thyroid and can be exacerbated by stress hormones.

Reducing stress and cutting out/down on alcohol are the big hitters here. I talk enough about stress/anxiety in that section so let's focus on alcohol here.
Just try it for a week and see what happens.
If you are used to regular drinking then cut down slowly. No guilt, no shame. Just a bit less. Dilute that white wine spritzer a bit more every day! And replace it with a drink you really like!
I make myself mocktails - in a proper cocktail glass with all the trimmings so I feel like I'm getting a treat.
I have much less hot flushes and it doesn’t contribute to the meno belly!
