Vaginal Dryness
During menopause, many women will experience vaginal changes such as dryness and thinning of the vaginal wall lining. Oestrogen creates vaginal lubrication so as oestrogen falls our vaginas can feel dryer and more uncomfortable during sexual activity. Decreases in Testosterone can also lead to a loss of Libido.
Vaginal dryness is one of the least spoken about, most searched menopause symptoms online. However the more you can embrace the change the easier it will be to take action and to raise the issue with our intimate partners with confidence.
The old adage ‘use it or lose it’ is relevant here. The less penetration we experience, the less the vaginal lining is stretched and flooded with blood and the drier and thinner it becomes!
No 1. Magnificent Menopause tip for vaginal dryness:
Studies have shown that 3-5 grams of Sea Buckthorn daily for 3-4 months has a positive impact on vaginal elasticity and hydration (as well as skin generally!).
I buy Pharma Nordes Sea Buckthorn from Natural Dispensary. You are welcome to use my 10% discount code (CRP10).
Having a more ‘juicy’ vagina can increase sexual pleasure and in that way increase our interest in sex. There are also some great Qigong exercises that my clients use to generate sexual energy - but the Sea Buckthorn is a great place to start.
